Retreat2Wales is a family run premier holiday rental accommodation business based in Llangynin, West Wales.
Ty Chwarel is the first of two, high-end, exclusive properties available for rent. The restoration of the barn project has taken over two and half years, being transformed from the circa 19th Century milking parlour, in to the luxurious property now available to rent.
The barn utilises some of the most up to date eco-technology, the main one being the district-heating biomass system which provides heating and hot water for the barn and main farm-house. Timber is sourced direct from the farm and in 2015 we are planning to plant a further 5 acres of trees to fuel the biomass system in the long-term.
The holiday accommodation has been constructed to the highest standard and considered very eco-friendly. Internally the barn has been decorated to an equally high standard to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, with all the creature comforts of home. Our exclusive property can cater for small and large family breaks or groups of up to eight people.
On the Farm our farm pup, Sandi, will often be seen wondering freely around the main yard and farm so unfortunately we do not currently allow guests to bring dogs to the farm.
Ty Chwarel enjoys a view or the cattle shed from the lounge, where animals can be seen feeding in the winter months. We also have three thoroughbred horses on the farm, Honey, Casper and Chloe. Farm tours are available however this is strictly by appointment only, in the interests of personal safety.
The farm yard will generally be clear of agricultural machinery however if any items are on the yard we ask guests refrain from entering the vehicles unless accompanied.
